About Tom Strafaci Kettlebell TrainingTom is co-owner and Director of Personal Fitness Training Services at Functional Physical Therapy and Fitness, as well as the owner/operator of Functional Fitness, Inc. in Pasadena. Tom is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), American Council on Exercise certified personal trainer, former national team power lift champion, former national collegiate power lift champion, and former world record holder in the squat for his weight division. In 1975, Powerlifting USA Magazine listed Tom as one of the top ten powerlifters in the US in the 165 lb. class. In 2010, Tom earned his RKC by completing the Kettlebell Challenge in La Jolla, CA. Tom also regularly competes in the Senior Olympic Powerlifting competitions and the World Famous Marine Corp. Mud Run held at Camp Pendleton each year. Tom has worked with clients ranging from pitchers in the Atlanta Braves farm systems, post rehab conditioning individuals, severe weight loss clients and senior citizens who have medical conditions that require special exercise intervention. For the last nine years Tom has worked with many local physicians and psychologists in an effort to best serve his client’s fitness needs. Tom also is a regular speaker at the Huntington Hospital’s Senior Care Network and is on the board of directors of the San Gabriel Valley Convalescent Aide Society.
